Infant Toddler
During April the children of the infant toddler room made some wonderful art that is currently on display on the board and classroom. The children continued to learn about sharing and turn taking during their circle times with songs and movement. And since April brought unseasonably warm weather the children were able to enjoy the surrounding parks for some Vitamin D.
May's theme is Spring. Children will be learning about flowers and bugs through music, arts and outdoor play. They will make crafts for Mother’s Day. Also during May, the children can look forward to more outings and entertaining circles.
Daycare Montessori
April was a busy and wonderful month. The children got outside as much as the weather would allow to explore the surrounding parks and trails. While on some of the outings the children got to learn about nature and the importance of conserving the environment. The children celebrated Earth day by discussing ways they can help the environment and went out to hug some trees. The children are also looking forward to bringing home all the art and craft to wish MUMS a very happy Mother’s Day.
During April the children learnt
the letters S, T, U, V, and W. Now May will bring the end of the Fun
Family Phonics with X, Y, and Zed. Some suggestions for show and tell
Wednesday's include:
X-x-Ray, xylophone
Y-yellow, yarn, yolk
Z-zebra, zoo, zigzag
As
well during May the Montessori children will be learning about weather,
and making some wonderful experiments that will help them have a hands
on demonstration about weather around the world.
